After a few red-eye flights, impromptu roadtrips and a whole lot of February sun (I promise that’s not an oxymoron), I’m welcomed back to Toronto by a raging snowstorm and 122 new e-mails (fitting). I’ve never really been one to rely on the therapeutic power of caffeine, but today calls for a healthy dose of re-everything (-juvenation, -resotration, -boosing). I have a terrifying tendency to unpack seriously late (in some cases weeks will pass, seasons change), and have yet to tackle the giant mess of over-stuffed suitcases and carry-ons full of Miami sand. So in an ode to detoxification and my enormous reliance on all things hydrating, I’ll share some of the things I so heavily relied on during my Miami getaway. The lessons? Sushi Samba makes for a great midnight snack, and two red beach-side flags mean a shark warning.
